Instagram is the first application to come up with an idea of an image based social network. It was launched in the mid of giant social networks like Facebook and Twitter, but the unique concept made them stand out of the crowd and later the application was acquired by Facebook for one billion dollars. Though it was acquired by Facebook, till now the app has its own set of audience. After Instagram added the 15 second video option and more filters, many creative pictures and videos were posted every day. If you are the one who don’t want to go online every time to check the Instagram photos and videos, then “Instagram Saver” is a must have application on your Windows machine.
Instagram Saver is a free application for Windows, which lets you download the entire photos and videos of a user in just minutes. You can download the application using the link at the end of this post. The interface of the app is pretty simple and easy to understand. Once you complete the installation, you will see a window as shown in the screenshot above. All you have to do is, just type the username from which you need to download the images and videos. Also, you need to select the output folder to save those images. The processing speed of the application is pretty fast and it downloaded 500 photos in just 3 minutes. You can stop the download at any time using the “Stop” button on the top.
Using “Favorites” option on the menu, you can add multiple Instagram accounts to the application, to regularly download images from them. The Favorite section is completely customizable as you can see the options in the screenshot. All the images and videos download history will be available on the “Log” section of the application. By default, the app won’t download “Videos” from the Instagram account you enter. To download it, go to “Settings” on the menu and enable “Download Videos too” option in that window. If you don’t want to download the same files again and again, enable “Don’t download already downloaded files” option in the same menu.
You can increase or decrease the number of parallel downloads using the “Parallel download count” option in the “Settings” menu. Also, you can change the theme of the app to dark, light or none using the “Look” option. Instagram Saver is also available for Android, to download your favorite Instagram images.
