If you are a web designer, developer or content editor, you usually have to go through checking or editing a web page which contain a lot of links. It sometimes isn’t easy to click on every link to see if it’s broken or not.
Check my links, however, is a handy Google Chrome extension that solves this problem. It crawls through your web page and looks for broken links with a single click. It is primarily designed for web developers, designers and content editors.
After installing the extension from the Google Chrome Extension store, all you need to do is visit the page you want to check and click on the ‘H’ icon in your toolbar. Check my links extension will immediately start crawling the page for broken links.
It will highlight both, working and broken links. The results are perfectly rendered and broken links are detected accurately. There’s one thing I noticed though. If you’re logged in to your WordPress account, it logs you out after checking the page. Also, after it has displayed the links, there is no way to close down the results, refreshing the page will do the trick though.
All in all, it’s a pretty handy extension that will save you a lot of time when checking for broken links. But yes, we’d like to see an update with some improvements.
