WordPress .Net, A .Net Version of PHP Based WordPress 2.7.1

The popularity of WordPress blogging platform is unknown to us. Most of the blogger prefer to use WordPress as blogging platform. WordPress being an open source project it has many developers contributing towards project apart from official WordPress Team.

If you want to have WordPress like blogging platform in your .Net based Web project then here is WordPress .Net, a .Net version of PHP based WordPress. WordPress .NET is a direct port of the PHP WordPress.

Sean Lin a freelance software developer has taken the initiative of developing .Net version of WordPress. Currently .Net WordPress is in stable release and equivalent of WordPress 2.7.1.If you want to contribute to WordPress .Net then you may contact Sean Lin at codeplex.com.

    The link is a dud. There isn’t a release yet its just a blank project page.

    Hopefully work will begin soon on this application. I really hope they can find a way to allow existing PHP plugins work.

    WordPress.NET can be very easily made just by compiling WordPress with Phalanger – PHP compiler for .NET (http://phalanger.codeplex.com). And you can instantly benefit from faster execution speed due to compilation, secure managed environment and use .NET classes in natural way for example in plugins ( if you don’t want to manipulate directly with wordpress code ).
