Google has, once again, been playing its YouTube toy. The company is always experimenting and tweaking things here and there in an effort to get the most out of the service, both for the company and its customers. Now, the video service is rolling out a set of new features and here is what you can expect.
The New Playlist
To get started, head to the YoyTube main page and click any one of your subscriptions. From here you’ll see an option for “Playlists” along the top of the screen — note that not every subscription will have Playlists. It depends on if the person, or service, has created any for their channel.
If you don’t see a menu to the left, the click the button at the top left — its three bars with a down arrow next to them.
Front and Center
Not long ago, BlogsDNA brought you a guide for setting YouTube’s center-aligned option. Now that hack is no longer needed, as the company has made it part of the interface. “YouTube now has a center-aligned look, fitting neatly on any screen size, and feeling similar to the mobile apps you’re spending almost half your YouTube time with”, Google announced.
This new interface is now available by default — nothing you need to do access it.
Conclusion
The improvements to YouTube continue, and we can expect Google to continue to tweak and improve the interface for its video service. Let us know what you think of the changes.
