Even though we use popular instant messengers to chat with our friends, the privacy in those apps is very low. In Whatsapp, except for iOS users, anyone can see your last login time and the delivery status. Sometimes it affects our privacy in the apps. Previously, I wrote about an app called “Wickr“, it is a secured instant messaging app for all the Android devices. Today I’ve come with a similar application called “Confide” for iOS devices to send self destruction message to anyone. Here’s how it works.
Confide is a free application and it is compatible with iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch. To start with the app, first you have to register with your email id. Once you complete the registration process, you will be redirected to the home page where you can see a welcome note with a menu bar on the top. In that menu bar, first you have “Settings” option in the top left corner. It carries all your profile information, email id, notifications and much more. Next, you have the “Inbox” of your messages. All the received messages will be available there.
Near to the “Inbox”, you have the “Sent Messages” icon. Tap that to see all your sent messages from the app. Swipe from right on the Inbox or Sent messages’ tab to manually delete the message. To send a new message tap the “Compose” button on the right side. If you install the app, it will ask you to connect the contacts with the app. So, you can see who are all in your contacts list are already using the app. When you compose a new message, either you can select from the existing contacts or enter a new mail id to invite the person to Confide application.
When you send a message to a Non-Confide user, he can see only your email id and the title of your message. Using the link sent with the email, he can sign up or download confide to his iOS device and see the message. Once the message is manually deleted or self destructed by the app, it will be deleted forever. If you are looking for a secured instant messaging application, Confide is a great choice. Try this app in your iOS devices and share your experience with us in the comments. Thanks for reading, do share this post with your friends.
