I tried using this software but any time I tried it says I need to remove it by Add/Remove.but it is no more in the add/remove because I have previously removed it through there.

I keep trying to uninstall my Norton Symatec Antivirus with this program and I keep getting a message “Symantec AntiVirus 9 or latr”. It says I need to remove it by Add/REmove. But it won’t allow me to do so in Add/Remove feature on My Computer. How can I get this mess off?

I could not use this tool, kept saying expired, tried doing everything recommended to no avail. Short of fresh install, I didnt know what to do.
I used regedit to remove everything that said norton and symantec, then used killbox to delete all norton and symantec files. then used RnisUPG.exe removal utility to remove nortons firewall that would not allow any changed programs to connect, Found here:

Very frustrating and hard to find a solution to this problem!!!!
NOTE: messing with the registry is risky business but I felt like I had nothing to lose.

just like your AV…. totally useless. tried nearly all of these and still have the problem of symantic taking over my right click options :(( what a pain! every time I right click, symantic comes up! what do I have to do to get rid of this problem? I’d be happy to know!
