Previously I wrote about an Android app to get more controls to your home button with different gestures. Today I came with a new app called “SidePlayer”, which brings a floating music control to your Android device. Of course, we can control the music from our notification bar and sometimes it is convenient to use the music player to change the songs, but this app is like a remote control for Android. It will be floating on the screen and can be accessed from anywhere on your device. Let’s have a look at the features and functions of the app below.
You can download the app from Google Play Store. It has both free and premium versions available. Once you complete the installation, swipe from right to left of your screen to see the music controls. It has only 3 buttons, play, next track and previous track. If you open the app, first you it asks you, in which music service you need to use this as a control application. There will be lists of choices like Google Play Music, Apollo, MX Player, etc. Then you can see all the settings and preferences of the application. First you have general preferences, there you have music control, Meta information and much more.
In the second option “Appearance & behavior”, it has the option to change themes and layouts but it can be activated only when you purchase the premium application. You can only customize the vibration and touch effects in the free app. In the next option “Activation & Gesture”, you can change the dimension, gestures and shortcut for the default music app. The last option “Other Preferences” will have the start with boot option and Music-app auto start to start the app automatically when the music player is ON.
You can switch on and switch off the SidePlayer using the “On/Off” button in the top right corner of the screen. It is a very simple app, where you can configure your default music player and it will act as remote to change the tracks. So, try this app on your Android device and share your experience with us in the comments. Thanks for reading, do share this post with your friends.
