Nifty Split Gives An Effective Tab Management in Chrome

Tab Management is one of the tedious jobs for people who work on computers all the day. Many unused apps will get crowded in the browser and you can’t find the tab you want. That’s why we have plenty of tab management apps for Chrome. A few months before I wrote about vertical tab management and tab organization in custom style windows for Chrome. Today I came with an another effective tab management extension called “Nifty Split” for Chrome. It splits your windows into two and will open the link from one in another. Let’s have a look at the features and functions of the app below.

You can download this extension from the Chrome Web Store. Once you install the extension, it will take you to a page where you have all the instructions to use the extension. The main theme of this extension is, it helps you to open links in side by side window to review them and close as soon as you complete it, to avoid unused tabs on the browser. To enable Nifty Split, right click on any link you need to open in a separate window. In the right click menu, choose “Open as Nifty Split Window” to start a session.

You can see two windows side by side. Instead of opening it in a separate window, you can use this feature to save the number of tabs on your browser. Also it will give you a quick review of the link. You can still open links in a new tab in the left side window by using “Ctrl+Click” on the window. To end the session, just close the right side window, then it will be completed. There is also a settings page in the application, which lets you edit the window size and much more options of the extension.

On the settings page, you can choose whether you want to open the links in the active tab or in a new tab. You can see three different options to the left and right window in the Nifty split. You can choose the actions the windows need to perform while closing, maximizing and resizing it. Separate options will be available for right and the left windows. So if you are online worker and don’t want tabs to get crowded on your browser, you can use this Nifty Split extension to quickly review the links and close them. Try this extension in your browser and share your experience with us in the comments. Thanks for reading, do share this post with your friends.
