Gmail is one of the most used email services in the Internet. Most of the people use Gmail for all their official and personal mail conversations. We have plenty of add-ons and supporting tools were available for Gmail. Today I came with a new tracking tool for Gmail called “Streak”. Previously I wrote about a similar app called Banana Tag to track whether the email is opened or not but the app has some limitations in tracking and the information it provides. Streak gives unlimited number of email tracking and let you know when, where and who read the message and on which device it was accessed. Let’s have a look at the features and functions of the app below.
Right now Streak is available for Google Chrome and Safari browsers. To download the app, go to Streak’s official website and click the download button, it will automatically install the app in your browser. Once you install the app, refresh your Gmail account if you’ve already logged in. Gmail will ask your permission to connect the app with your account. Click “Accept” and see the instructions to use the app. You will notice a new eye shaped icon in your mail compose window to enable tracking for the emails for you send. The same icon will be on your inbox mail conversations which will let you know the tracking details when you hover over the icon.
When you open the conversation thread, on the right side bar below, there will be a complete information about the email as shown in the screenshot above. When the email was opened, how many times it was opened, in which device the email was read, location where the email was accessed and much more. In order to view the tracked conversations alone, click the “Tracked Emails” option below “Sent Mail” on the left side bar. By default, you can track 200 mails a month using this application, you can share the app to five of your friends to unlock unlimited email tracking.
There will be an another option called “Pipelines”, which helps you to plan different business and personal events right from your Gmail account. There will be a preset of events in the Pipelines section, also you can create custom events and add people for group planning. We’ve already discussed about Squadmail to share Gmail labels with other users. This pipeline feature not only create a common conversation platform also gives different options to create and plan events on your own.
Any authorized user can change or modify the content easily and all the logs will be available in the right side bar. There will be a streak assist box in the right corner of your window, which contains all the tutorials and instructions to use the application. If you are regular Gmail user, Streak is a must have extension in your browser. Try this app on your Gmail account and share your experience with us in the comments. Thanks for reading, do share this post with your friends.
