T-Mobile G1 Phone RC33 Firmware Update Rollout Begun

T-mobile G1 Phone users might be eagerly waiting for Next firmware update with the hope that it will contain one of most awaited cupcake update. We have already reported that cupcake update is still incomplete and might not come out early as it is expected.

Today the news has started floating that new firmware update RC33 for Android G1 Phone is being rolled out to very few T-Mobile users. It is still unknown that what enhancements and features will this firmware update will bring to G1 phone but its for sure that cupcake update is not included with RC33.

Officially it’s confirmed that T-mobile has begun issuing an update RC33 to G1 users. The update, Firmware version 1.1 / RC33, was released to a small number of users today, but will be sent to all G1 users over the next two weeks.

All those users having modded G1 Phone firmware or want to keep the ability to root their G1 Phone do not update their G1 phone firmware to RC 33. You have to wait for some time till some one come out with Mod RC33 firmware update.

    If you cant wait for the RC33 update download anycut from the market. Open the app and hit new shortcut. Then hit activity and then device info. This will create a short cut on what you could say “the desktop” Click on it scroll down to bottom and hit check for upgrade. Once I did this it started the RC33 download.

    I got this rc33 on friday, they added voice comand to the google tool bar and also made the phone look for new versons of aplications on it own. Other than that I don’t know what they did….I can’t wait for a screen key board…
    And a flash player. Even that is an adobe or thrid party solution I think.

    Waoooo, I was desperate, almost 2 days after I just un-rooted my phone and trying this shorcut and NOTHING, finally today 11:51pm I checked and started downloading, I tried to push it manually but never worked again so I was very worried about it, now lets see what happens in half an hour.
