If you read how to instruction the following preparation you will require.

1. You need to have Libusb installed on your Mac. You can download source files for Libusb and compile by your self or download precompiled Libusb from here.

2. Download iPod Touch 2G Firmware 2.2.1

3. Download PwnageTool 2.2.5

4. How to Create Custom 2.2.1 ipsw file. Read How to use PwnageTool 2.2.5 and follow up to step number 11.

Now follow rest of instruction how to jailbreak iPod Touch 2G from readme.txt.

Please keep in mind that this is tethered jailbreak and every time you switch off/on you will lose your jailbreak and you need to again jailbreak using above steps.
