Apple’s iOS has inspired a lot of people and if you’re one of them, you’re definitely going to like this. Presenting iOS-7 style customizable new tab page for Google Chrome. It’s a small Google chrome’s add-on which changes and customizes your traditional new tab page which looks similar to iOS-7. Nor does it only looks like one but also comes with similar features.
The extension comes in with 3 pages of built-in clickable icons. You can scroll these pages by holding your mouse button and moving it left or right, similar to an iPhone or iPad where you hold your finger on the screen and move it. This gesture can also be performed by using your keyboard left and right arrow keys.
You can customize each and everything by deleting or adding your favorite or most visited links just like you do it in iOS. For example, if you want to delete an icon, hold your mouse on it for couple of seconds and it’ll show you the “x” on it. Clicking it will give you the ability to delete it; of-course it confirms before you do it so accidentally getting rid of something is out of the question.
Another awesome feature is it comes with its own App Store. You can install from games, social media, news & weather, videos & music, sports, shopping, utilities, chrome apps or even add your own app with a click.
The settings page has more goodies. You can export the full list of icons, customization, or load your own icons and settings file. Add your own app, change wallpapers, change icon’s colors etc. The only thing I didn’t like was the time it took to load (which isn’t much) but maybe because I’m stuck to the default tab page and am prone to how fast it loads. Hopefully, removing all the extra icons, websites will resolve this problem as well. All in all, it’s an excellent extension, especially for people who love their iOS devices.
