Sounds of nature can be very relaxing. Whether you are working or trying to fall asleep, having such sounds being played on your computer can be very helpful. Here to provide this functionality for Windows users is an app called “Atmosphere Lite”.
Atmosphere Lite is an excellent piece of freeware that helps a computer user relax through sounds of nature. The application is compatible with computers which are running the Windows OS. Mainly, the application provides a wide array of sounds of nature; amongst this list are included sounds of the forest, rain, thunderstorm, thunder, owls, toads, light wind, and more. In addition to playing these sounds, the application provides color customizations, sound recording, as well as an alarm clock.
To begin using the application, you must download and install its setup file which is sized at nearly 14 MB. Once the app is installed, you can open it to find various nature sounds playable from its main window, like in the screenshot above.
From rain sounds to that of the forest, from sounds of owls to that of frogs and toads, the app comes with a wide range of built in sounds that will make you feel as if you were in the outdoors. There are volume options that let you individually tweak the levels of each sound effect to get what suits your ears best. There are also visual options that can complement your relaxing experience by adding imagery to the sounds being played.
Although the sounds options provided are many, in case you want to add any additional sounds, you can do so easily with the app’s built in sound recorder.
If there are users who wish to change the color scheme of the app, they will be happy to know that the app provides built in color customization options. The text color, background color, gradient colors for sliders, and more. At any time, you can have the colors restored to their default state.
If you want, you can setup an alarm to go off on your prescribed time. When the alarm goes off, it begins playing the same sounds that you had earlier set in the application. Also present in the alarm options are volume settings. The alarm can also serve as a stopper for the app. For instance, you can have the application playing sounds while you fall asleep – after a particular time that app will be turned off, at the time of the set alarm.
As you can see, this application is just the thing you need if you want to relax through sounds of nature. You can get Atmosphere Lite and its premium versions from over here.
