We have wrote guide on how to open elevated command prompt in windows 7 which provides the steps for manually launching elevated command prompt. however if you frequently need to open elevated command prompt then manual method seems to be really unproductive.

How about we can have option to open elevated command prompt in right click context menu of folder or My Computer ? do you think it will be useful ? if yes then here is way to get elevated command prompt in right click context menu.

1. Downoad AddElevatedCMDtoFolder.reg file.

2. Right Click on AddElevatedCMDtoFolder.reg and select Merge from context menu.

3. Accept UAC prompt

4. Now Right click on any folder to very “Open Command Window Here (Administrator)” option is added or not.

Does not work. The command prompt always opens in the C:\Windows\System32 folder and not the folder you right clicked on.
