Apple QuickTime one first multimedia player to support online streaming video over web has been enhanced to such a level that currently it supports numerous video formats, you can play almost any video on QuickTime player, however QuickTime is best for playing online streaming video.

Apple has released QuickTime 7.6 which has fixes for several security holes of current QuickTime player which includes arbitrary code execution while accessing malicious RTSP (Real Time Streaming Protocol) URL as well as improves stability & capability.

QuickTime 7.6 has been released for Mac OS X Leopard and Tiger, plus Windows XP and Vista and it is available for free download.
