    this problem (the file or folder does not exist) start after i did a live update of vista premium and all is security, before i did the update everyting was working properly. now i can’t move folders, i can’t rename them and i can’t execute key generateur or patch. I tryed the fix like you said, it add a key in the registery but it did not work, i’m going to reboot to see and after if it does’nt work again i’m going to restore before the update i did.

    I tryied this but still i have the same problem.Can you tell me what to do.The fix works but i get the samw error when i try to rename a folder.Thanks in advance for your answer.

    This solution has not solved my problem although the problem is same as explained. I followed the steps,the registry is updated succesfully, are you sure that it will work without restrarting it.

    It worked for me without restarting.
    So it’s not that this fix doesn’t work – it’s just that it works in some cases and not others, as expected.

    I found a fix at the microsoft support center. Go to the link:

    After you click the link go to the Fix It For Me section and download the fix.
