Please help, I have unlocked iphone 3gs with 4.2.1. Installed cydia, ultrasnow and yellowsnow, sometimes it gets signal but it is not for long time..Please reply

I am not getting any links from the sites listed to download yellowsn0w. All that is present on the page is “yellowsn0w third generation”.
Can you give a better referal? I even tried it from the Dev link and it is the same thing.

Voice Control features of the iPhone 3GS are definitely nice to have, considering that most other mobile phones, whether regular free phones or full-featured smart-phones, have had voice dialing for years, we’re not overly amazed that Apple finally managed to get these features in the iPhone 3GS, nor are we impressed by the implementation. Hopefully, Apple will expand upon Voice Over’s features over time and various third party developers will work Voice Control support into their applications. I was disappointed that I couldn’t simply say “Where am I?” to have my location plotted on the included Maps application.

hi LITTLEP,
you will have to use a program called “redsn0w” for a 3G 3.0 iphone to be jailbroken…then you use ultrasn0w to unlock..

yellowsn0w only works with older iphones,

just google for tutorials for your iphone version..

I just got my 3G with 3.0 firmware (setting > general > about > version 3.0). I tried yellowsn0w, and it didn’t work for me since it only work for 02.28.0. I got a Invalid Sim message after ran the yellowsn0w. After some time google, I found http://www.quickpwn.com/2009/06/unlock-iphone-3g-30-with-ultrasn0w.html which works great. One shot and done.

Hope it helps and save some time for anyone trying the same thing.

Help me please!!! When I try to add a source it says

“Did not Find Repository.”

“The indicated repository could not be found. This could be because you are trying to add a legacy installer repository (these are not supported). Also, this interface is only capable of working with exact repository URLS. If you host a repository and are having issues please contact the author of Cydia with any questions you have.”

you can jailbreak. but you have to downgrade modem firmware
to unlock sim. going to try later on tonight

There is a application out called Fuzzyband that downgrades
your baseband to 2.28 haven’t tried it yet but will later
today.

Quickpwn tool worked for me on iphone 3g with version 2.2.1
and 02.30.03 modem. but yellowsn0w didn’t unlock sim for me
to use t-mobile sim. found out yellowsn0n only works on modem
02.28.0. guess i have to downgrade modem to 02.28.0 to unlock
sim. is there a file out there to do this?
