Thanks to limera1n bootrom exploit it is impossible for Apple to patch it and for any iOS update iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPod Touch 4G, 3G & iPad 1 is jailbreaked for life. Yesterday Apple had released iOS 4.3.4 to fix the PDF vulnerability from iOS 4.3 to 4.3.3 used in JailbreakMe 3.0 by Comex to Jailbreak iPad 2 and other iOS devices.
Apple may have patched JailbreakMe 3.0 untethered jailbreak but they can’t patch Limera1n bootrom exploit, it was just matter of time for iPhone Dev Team in updating their Jailbreak tools for iOS 4.3.4 and the good news is here.
Redsn0w 0.9.8 beta 3 to tethered jailbreak iOS 4.3.4 on all iOS devics. Here is what iPhone Dev Team says,
“Update #3: For the convenience of kernel hackers like @comex and @i0n1c, we have a new redsn0w 0.9.8b3 that supports a TETHERED jailbreak for iOS 4.3.4 on all devices that have 4.3.4 except the iPad2. The vast majority of people will want to stay back at 4.3.3 because that’s where the untethered jailbreak is! There are no new features in 4.3.4 — only fixes for jailbreak exploits.
Also, this is a good time to remind everyone (since we’re still seeing confusion about this): iPad2 owners with a baseband (3G or CDMA) cannot currently use saved blobs to go back to 4.3.3 once the signing window is closed. This is unlike every other device, so don’t be confused! iPad2 owners with basebands should stay away from all updates to maintain the jailbreak!”
So at any cost don’t update to iOS 4.3.4 and those who accidentally updated can use Redsn0w 0.9.8b3 on Windows & Mac to tethered jailbreak until next new untethered vulnerability is found.
