Popular Desktop Feed Reader FeedDemon Looking at Ads as a Savior

Global Economy slowdown and ongoing recession has impacted almost each and every one. Its difficult for any one to escape from this economy slowdown, I myself got hit by this recession and laid off from company. IT sector seems to have become prime target of economy slowdown. One such example, FeedDemon one of most popular desktop feed reader which has been available for free from last year planning for displaying ads to create revenue source for their software.
Nick Bradbury creator of FeedDemon posted about intension of including advertising in their applications. At 1st step Nick himself is not convinced with idea of displaying ads but this step has to be taken in order to keep FeedDemon alive and free for use.

Looking at above screenshot one thing is clear that positions of ads are not disturbing. FeedDemon is using The Desk Ad network which focuses on ads for creative web professionals as well as no compromising over user’s privacy.

The problem for us is that we find ourselves in an ugly economic climate that absolutely requires everyone to earn revenue wherever they can….
So…what I would like to know next is how you recommend we earn revenue from our software
I personally feel these ads are not going to anyway affect us but this may put FeedDemon in to Adware software category!!!
