If you have read my About page, then you will knowing that by profession I am Oracle Database Administrator (DBA). I am not at all interested in doing this job. Then why did I selected this job? it was all because of my bad luck. If any one of you planning to opt for DBA (Database Administrator) then read the below reasons of why not to select Database Administrator (DBA) as you IT career.
→ Less Number of Openings for DBA job Profile.
→ Have to be available 24×7 for Critical Database.
→ Fewer Holidays, added to this even need to present on Holidays for Database Activity.
→ Extra working hours and Night Sifts that means less time for your family.
→ Have to struggle a lot to get first job in Database Administrator (DBA).
To sum up it would be fare to say DBA life is totally screwing life. Please keep in mind that above reasons are my own feelings and its not representing any fact or any mass opinion about DBA field.
