iOS 4.1 after months of testing it has been finally released today however if you care for your unlock and jailbreak then it is advisable to stay away from iOS 4.1 until iPhone dev team comes up with jailbreak & unlock tools for iOS 4.1.

Unlike iOS 4.0.1 for which jailbreak was released immediately, it may not happen for iOS 4.1 as iOS 4.2 is on its way. Musclenerd and iPhone dev team has already asked to stay away from iOS 4.1 as its trap to flush out all exploits to block jailbreak & unlocks before next iOS 4.2 is released.

Well you may not need to wait until iOS 4.2 for jailbreak release as @Pod2G member of chronic dev and founder of 24kpwn exploit has already got exploit in iOS 4.1 which may be used to get jailbreak tools for iOS 4.1 or iOS 4.2. Though its iBoot exploit which is easier for Apple to plug the hole and fix it with just iOS update.

Update: Its a tethered bootrom exploit and not an iBoot exploit.

congrats to @pod2g for the latest exploit and also @p0sixninja who have been trying for months.

Also it should be noted that not all exploit turn into successful jailbreak tool. But now that exploit is found we can hope for jailbreak tool soon.

P.S iPhone dev team member Musclenerd has also confirmed about iOS 4.1 exploit.
