Orkut Safety Filter to Protect You from Bad Profiles, Communities and Content [New Feature]

Orkut one of Popular Social Networking Website from Google has got enough popularity as well as attention from millions of users. Thought Orkut is best place to socialize yourself but it could become dangerous place too.

We have seen several issues arising from bad profiles, Communities, Group of users involved in illegal activity and government like India has tried to enforce restriction on Orkut.

Orkut has help guide ‘Safety: Protecting your account’ to protect Genuine Orkut users from such a bad content, however hardly any users care about this safely guide. As an alternative to this Orkut Development Team have come up with new feature which will automatically protect you from bad content present on Orkut.

Orkut New Feature Safety Filters to Protect You from Bad Content of Orkut

Orkut Safety Filter has been designed for Orkut users to protect them from bad profiles community and content. Once you turn on Safety filter in your Orkut profile, you will not see any bad content of Orkut via any means, like searching for Orkut users of your city or community of your choice, or thru your friends profile.

If you come across any profile or community which is marked as bad by Complex Orkut Algorithm, You will instantly see a message notifying you that “Profile/ Community is bad may be harmful to you, do you want to proceed ? “. (i dont have exact message text)

As per This news source, Orkut had developed a complex algorithm to analyze authenticity of Orkut User profiles and Communities.

Please Note:- I don’t have any screenshots of this new Orkut feature and this feature is activated to only set of users. In Oder to experience Orkut safety filter feature you have to wait till 21 October, 2008 (This date is just my speculation). you might see this new feature within a week.
