ZumoCast enters private beta today, and offers its users an alternative to syncing their content on their desktop with their iDevice of choice. Essentially the service allows you to turn your desktop or laptop into a personal cloud to stream video to your iPhone or iPad.

ZumoCast offers some pretty unique features in comparison to some of the other similar apps on the App Store. ZumoCast provides slick web-based interface, and plans to provide support for more than just video in the future, with photo, document, and audio support coming soon. It also plans to implement offline access.
If you are interested in trying out ZumoCast, you can sign up for the private beta here. The free app will be in beta for several months, so don’t expect a finished product.
